Go Hard or Go Home Episode 2

Hello, everyone! I haven’t done a Go hard or Go Home episode in a while – due to some big moving changes for me – but rest assured I have made something at the last minute for your viewing pleasure. In Episode 2 I have a sit-down and play Super Meat Boy, with an added twist. I decided that since playing with an Xbox controller made the game too easy, why not up the antics and use a keyboard? I guess you can imagine how well that went.

Once introductions are said and done, I jump right into the action of the first world – ‘The Forest’. The rage began with the first “Bollocks” I uttered as I miss-jumped into an eternal pit of darkness. When the light of day seemed to be rising, my progression through the game became apparent. However! I hit a snag. A level riddled with spinning blades moving on the ground, shooting about, and whirling around was where my rage bar hit the top – but I did pass it! Next, came Lil’ Slugger boss fight where I continued to use vulgarity and frustration due to my lack of skills of tumbling through blades but once I passed it, I was onto The Hospital.

The Hospital doesn’t seem as bad as my encounter with the last world, but random name calling and a little bit of singing to enlighten my sorrow occurs. My spiraling insanity of heat-fueled gaming escalated once I reached the last boss, C.H.A.D. I either kept on over-jumping or getting stomped on by the boss, pointlessly leaping from one side of the screen to the other. At one point in the fight, I yell the name ‘Tuffo’. Tuffo is my sister’s cat that whines and complains whenever she wants to go outside. It’s the most annoying cat calling ever to pierce my ears, and Tuffo does it repeatedly until she’s let out. Well, since I was playing a stressful level I instantly got up, yelled at the cat and fainted into the background, slamming the door. After I put my headset on… Well, I wasn’t happy.

Surprisingly enough I beat the level and was set for a course to Salt Factory – since I wasn’t salty enough already. Again, I used curse words and insults throughout each level until I reached my final boiling point. The Vertigo was a level I could not pass due to some minor implications with how the moving platform would throw me off – not through my control. Every time I’d jump on the metal platform I would be either flung off or glitched through. Already under heavy pressure, I ultimately gave up.

I hope to do more episodes of Go Hard or Go Home after I settle into my new place so I hope you will continue to watch me play right here on Mouse n Joypad.
